Kimono is traditional Japanese clothes of the long robe with wide sleeves and a broad sash.
着物とは、幅広の袖がついている長い衣服に、幅広の帯を締めて着る日本の伝統的な衣服です。
Before the Meiji period, all Japanese people wore Kimonos in daily life. Nowadays people wear Kimonos for special occasions, such as ceremonies and wedding receptions. Some people enjoy wearing them at the tea ceremonies and when going to KABUKI theater.
